Meet Tom S.
Tom is a Cory's Audio Visual team member of 14 years. His job is significant to our team, our work, and our clients. We recently sat down with him to ask a few questions about his work at Cory's Audio Visual and more.
What is your role at Cory's Audio Visual?
My role at Cory's Audio Visual is Director of Purchasing which includes inside sales, shipping & receiving, and customer repair administration. If it is needed for a job, I am the person who orders it, catalogs it, and gets it ready to go out.
Describe your average day at work.
I arrive to work early so our install crews have anything they may need for their work day. I purchase any items needed to start or complete an install or live events project, as needed. I put together customer quotes for box sales, ship and receive equipment, and log any incoming equipment into the correct job folders. I get to talk to many clients in a day and have the chance to interact with most of the Cory's Audio Visual team.
What is your favorite part of the job?
The favorite part of my job is interacting with our clients. Trying to find what equipment or solution is right for them and making it happen, is great. I truly enjoy helping people. The best days are when we have helped someone beyond their expectations.
Outside of work, you can be found...
I love camping with my wife of 31 years, fishing in my pond in my backyard, cooking/grilling/using our smoker, and watching college sports. My son is newly-engaged and our family is growing. I am looking forward to what is ahead!
