Last Frontier Council Centennial Camporee

The Centennial Camporee is an event for scouters and the public alike to celebrate 100 years of the Last Frontier Council. We had the honor of helping the Last Frontier Council tell the story of its past as well as its future Saturday night during their show.

Throughout the day we worked with volunteer Boy Scout leaders to rehearse with youth Boy Scouts and train them to operate the cameras used during the show. Incorporating scouting’s “youth led” policies we involved youth Boy Scouts in all parts of the show including on stage and off.

The show featured a panel of former Boy Scouts discussing how scouting gave them the “right stuff” to be successful in their careers and in life. The panel included television meteorologist Reed Timmer of KFOR, Oklahoma City Firefighter David Shearer and NASA Astronaut Commander Herrington.

And was any good outdoor show goes we ended the show with a 15-minute fireworks show coordinated with Western Enterprises.

Thank you to the Last Frontier Council for including us on your team and allowing us to be part of the amazing event!
