Client Shout Out: Oklahoma City University

Posted by Abby Wolfe on 05/15/2017

Jim Abbott is the Assistant V.P. for Intercollegiate Athletics at Oklahoma City University. He knows the importance of trusting his audio visual provider and other vendors.

We recently sat down with him to ask why trust is an important factor and how you can get the same level of customer service.

Why do you choose Cory's Audio Visual for your AV needs?

We choose Cory’s Audio Visual because we trust them.  They take the time to understand what our needs are and what our budget is and go out of the way to serve us.  Our relationship has continued to grow based on the fact that Cory’s Audio Visual continually exceeds our expectations.

How have we helped you reach your goals?

We want to be professional and first class in everything that we do.  That having been said, we have limited resources and don’t have full-time AV folks on our staff.  We rely on Cory’s Audio Visual to do this for us.  They have helped us install professional sound systems in several of our venues, they help produce our graduation each year with audio and video, and we rely on them to manage the AV needs for multiple outside events that we host on campus.  Cory’s Audio Visual has helped us expand what we can offer on our campus and made us more productive in the process!

Do you have advice for others in higher education?

I would encourage anyone in Higher Ed to sit down with the folks at Cory’s Audio Visual to discuss their needs.  It is a local Oklahoma business run by Oklahomans.  They take the time to listen to your needs and provide options to meet your needs. They are in business for the long run and won’t be satisfied unless the customer is completely satisfied.  This arrangement has worked very well for my university and would work well for others too.
